The Virginia Cteen program of Jewish Studies for Junior and Senior High School students will be entering its tenth year, having completed an extraordinarily successful nine years. Meeting Sundays from 6:00pm to 8:30 pm at the Chabad campus in Fairfax, Virginia, teenagers familiarize themselves with the traditional process of Jewish study with basic Jewish texts and supplement the learning through socializing, community work and fun field trips.
Meetings will take place at the Chabad Community Campus –
3939 Prince William Drive, Fairfax, Va. 22031.
Dynamic instructors guide our students through discussions on Torah, history, and critical Jewish thinking. Community service is an integral part of our program. Students use their talents and skills in volunteer activities such as hospital visitation, community programs and working with special children. Exciting guest lectures and off-campus educational trips are part of what makes Cteen a unique learning experience. Recreational field trips such as overnight ski adventures and Shabbatons to New York make Cteen more than just school…it's an experience! Since most teens have a heavy work load, we offer a no homework policy.
