Thousands of people turned out for the “Bringing Meron to Miami” Lag B’Omer festival hosted by The Shul of Bal Harbour and the Million Mitzvah Campaign. Featuring a live performance by popular Jewish singer Yossi Piamenta, the bash – held at a Hollywood, Fla., golf course – was coordinated by Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Mendy Levy and community member Betzalel Ness.
The “Bringing Meron to Miami” Lag B’Omer party and festival began in daylight with a series of booths exploring different mitzvahs. Here, a volunteer puts the finishing touches on an exhibit dedicated to tzedakah, or the giving of charity. Visitors to the booth walked away with their very own tzedakah boxes.
