An estimated 600 Binghamton University students, parents, alumni and faculty celebrated the grand opening of the newly expanded Chabad Center for Jewish Life. The $3.5 million center – finished in record time as part of the fourth capital project of the Chabad House since Rabbi Aaron and Rivkah Slonim arrived as Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries in 1985 – wowed the crowd with a design reflecting one goal: to provide Jewish students with a home away from home.
